adding goldfish to color week 1 homework
student homework
currently using 2 methods to direct vision, goldfish + bubbles, but its still often difficult to connect them into a proper line that is visible
often its a good idea to use multiple objects to connect the rhythm together, things that have actual lines in them are a good way to do this, aka the main stem of the plants
in this example we see how the stem leads into the hair, leading into the first goldfish, then small section of hair, into the second goldfish - make sure to use multiple elements ontop of each other to strengthen the rhythm lines
even using the collars to connect the line together
each element in the fish may lead several rhythm lines at once, the blue lines indicate a secondary rhythm line which the goldfish may lead through the patterns of its fins and the shape of its head. While we originally planned for the rhythm line to go to the left along the red path, it may travel to another path created by the rhythm of the hair in blue
most well designed pictures will have multiple of these lines, some designed, some by accident. In terms of designing you will primarily design one main rhythm line, if you find any other rhythm lines being created by accident then you may adjust your designs to also work with that secondary/tertiary rhythm line
two strategies for making sure your vision doesn't run out of the image
method 1 - making a goldfish at the end that is traveling in the opposite direction, this makes it harder for your vision to directly exit the page
a better version of this fish would be one that looks upwards and also to the right, directly changing your vision path
method 2 - creating a dark shape at the end, blocking your vision, causing your vision to circle back into the image
it is a good idea to use both method #1 and method #2 because just having method #1 is a little too obvious, so creating a plant or other object that points in the direction you want is a good way to go
how to balance your rhythm lines
