sense of space/distance
when drawing scenes its very important to cut objects in a way that shows that its big if close, and smaller if far away
if krenz were to handle the floor tiles, draw cross first
you must show that A is clearly bigger than B
you don't need to multiply distance properly every time, as long as you follow this basic rule
when adding the little section of leaves at the side, first add a single leaf at the center of each concrete section following same rule, big close, far small
then add other leaves to breakup the shape and make it not as obvious
same concept for the lines on the ground, the spacing between them also has to change according to distance from camera
even when your sideview diagram clearly shows a larger area at both ends
its a good idea to edit this to make the end further away from you smaller
you should try to find things to add to any scene that you're drawing, if its landscape or architecture that follows this rule, rocks for example
larger rock in front, smaller in the back
larger distance between rocks in front, smaller distance in the back
adding a fourth rock in front, then adding smaller rocks next to it to make it not as obviously placed
for rocks even further back, they'll stop being shapes and become dots and lines
if you don't want to draw rocks, you can just draw horizontal lines indicating ground texture, but decrease the distance between each line as it goes further into the background, the whole group of lines would also get smaller
same thing should apply to the edge of objects, it should get flatter in the distance
this also applies to the shadows, objects further away should have the shadows flatter
