group A and B has a clearer sense of light and form compared to C and D
A doesn't really use much halftones on most of the surfaces
but uses a mixture of cast shadow and what seems like dark AO shadows
similar to these paper models
very clear separation of layers from each layer from the cast shadow
in paper models - the distance between the two layers is very thin and is very difficult for light to enter
so it looks like both very dark cast shadow and dark AO shadows
characteristics elements are - very clear cast shadow between layers
and a few simple planes on each layer with very similar values
usually areas beneath the neck or armpits are quite dark
